Fall is here, so let the baking begin again. I enjoy baking in the winter. The following is a favorite of mine and my family.
Banana Split Cake
1 Box Betty Crocker white cake mix (including ingrediants as stated on the box)
1 Cup mashed Bananas
3/4 Cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1 container Betty Crocker chocolate frosting
Heat oven to 350°. Grease the bottom of a 13xp inch pan. In a large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil, whole eggs and mashed bananas with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into pan.
Bake 38-42 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes.
In a small microwavable bowl, microwave frosting uncovered for 20 seconds; stir. Microwave 5 to 10 seconds longer or until very soft and smooth; spread evenly over cake.
Garnish with Banana slices, whipped topping or cherries as desired.
